Andrey Rublev was the first player since 2004 to win the first two titles of the year before the Australian Open. And while the COVID-19 pandemic might have slowed his momentum after back-to-back Quarterfinal finishes in Rotterdam and Dubai, he still finished the year with 5 titles: Doha, Adelaide, Hamburg, St. Petersburg, and Vienna. And, he broken into the top 10 and made it to the ATP Finals for the first time in his career.
