Pascal Siakam (34 PTS, 18 REB, 5 AST) and Fred VanVleet (34 PTS, 7 AST, 5 REB) became the fifth pair of teammates in NBA history to score 34+ points in a season opener, joining Oscar Robertson/Jack Twyman (1961), Jerry West/Elgin Baylor (1964), West/Wilt Chamberlain (1969) and Kiki Vandeweghe/Dan Issel (1983). The two combined for 68 PTS in the Toronto Raptors' 130-122 OT win over the New Orleans Pelicans.
