Overview

  • OSRS feels like the actual runescape I enjoy playing than RS3. I was max prior to archeology, half method into 120 thieving, and that OSRS gold I made the conscience decision that I had rather re-max every skill from level 1 in osrs than play rs3 and grind 1 more 99.

I've also transferred from rs3 to osrs lately for comparable reasons. However one difficulty I've had with both games/communities is that this concept that everyone would like to max or that maxing is somehow"the point" of the game. Coming out of a Dungeons and Dragons history (which much of early RS was very much based on) I have never had a campaign in which our party made it past level 10. Even with just like 3 years of playing the same character. I left so many distinct characters back into pre-eoc since I actually embraced the Role-Playing facet of this MMORPG. I'd just set myself special challenges or possess a certain theme for the character. Sure, after almost two decades there should be a lot of end game content. But it seems like that is all the community is centered on.

My main consideration is a pure f2p in rs3 with a couple of 99s and some more not far off. I quit the game for a period of approximately five decades and returned past October. Pretty much everyone I knew in the f2p community which still plays has maxed and is now only grinding out virtual 120s/200m.

I'm really close to my intentions of getting 99 Defence, Prayer, and Magic, and my friend who has maxed twice today in f2p requested me that ability I had been planning to work on next. I was like... there likely will not be a next. I'm getting these 99s because I like them or because they had been childhood dreams of mine. However, I don't put any value . I am not planning to do something I hate like Woodcutting or angling for hours upon hours just to find how the numbers go up. I mean, if I had been a kid with all the time on earth I might. But in my adult life I need a little more out of my precious spare time. I want something engaging, rather than afkable.

So I transferred to osrs and Old School RS Gold created an eventual Ironman. And I have set myself added thematic challenges and limitations. And while I could ultimately do the same thing in Rs3, I find that the exceptional equipment system of osrs makes different account builds more rewarding to perform . And the community (especially YouTube content creators) is way more enthused about that style of game playwith.
